What We Accept

We accept submissions of video-based learning resources that demonstrate clinical concepts, health professional education topics, or other content pertinent to the practice of pediatrics or pediatric subspecialties. OPENPediatrics Scholar aims to accept submissions that adhere to best practices in multimedia design, ensure accessibility, and promote inclusivity. Please see submission guidelines for more information.

We accept content for all types of healthcare professionals including, but not limited to, clinical officers, community health workers, dietitians, dentists, nurses, nutritionists, pharmacists, physicians, physiotherapists, psychologists, occupational therapists, respiratory therapists, and surgeons. We accept content for all learner levels including students, residents, fellows, attendings, consultants, and licensed independent professionals.

Each submission must include the following components: learning resource title, content description, learning objectives, description of identified need, learner assessment, and anticipated use. All submissions must include an assessment component that provides learners with feedback on their mastery of the content. These submission components are aligned with Glassick’s criteria, adapted to digital scholarship:

OPENPediatrics Scholar is also willing to consider submission of other innovative resources such as screen-based simulations, virtual cases, serious games, or interactive content. However, as technical considerations of hosting this type of content vary widely based on the content authoring tool used to create and disseminate material, authors intending to submit such content should contact the editorial team prior to submission.

All correspondence related to submissions should be directed to:
